Friday 29th September:

10:30 – National Careers Service – CV Writing – The basics of CV writing including different CV formats, covering letters and job applications.

11:00 – Civil Service – Civil Service Fast Stream and Early Talent – The Civil Service helps the government of the day develop and implement its policies as effectively as possible. The Fast Stream is the Civil Service’s graduate leadership programme, where talented people do brilliant things. 12:00  John Lewis – Put your job skills to the ultimate test by working for the brand that’s been voted the best – John Lewis, recently voted Best Brand of 2017 in a YouGov survey, are seeking enthusiastic recruits to become installer drivers working from our modern facility in Park Royal. Come along and find out why working for the John Lewis Partnership will make you much more than a driver!

12:30 National Careers Service – Interview Skills – Interview technique preparation using general strategies with examples of some interview questions.

13:00 Serco: Prisoner Escorting and Court Services – Going on trial – A Prisoners Story – This is the story of a prisoner’s day when facing trial. We will look at the work of our officers but mainly from the prisoner’s perspective. It is delivered as a narrated play. The play covers various stages of a normal working day and will bring to life the challenges and rewards this work can offer.

13:30 The Army – It’s not just combat: the modern British Army – There are 220 different job roles in the Army, from nurse to dog handler, avionics engineer to musician, farrier to Police Officer;  the choice is huge. Every soldier joins an apprenticeship scheme and there are lots of other opportunities and benefits. People with leadership skills can apply to join the management team directly as an Army Officer. Most of the jobs can be done part-time too!

14:30  Heathrow Airport – How to land your dream role – Every career journey starts with a great application. This seminar will explore how you can set yourself up for success through all stages of a recruitment process, from online application through to telephone interview and assessment centre.

15:00 University of Bedfordshire – Routes into Healthcare – This seminar will focus on the wide range of careers within the NHS.  Hosted by the University of Bedfordshire, this seminar will explain the pathways to becoming a fully qualified Nurse, Midwife, Paramedic and Operating Department Practitioner.  The session will discuss both the degree and apprenticeship pathways.

16:00 Love London Working – Housing Associations and Apprenticeships, discovering talent and promoting opportunity – This session will look at how housing associations are delivering apprenticeship opportunities in their own companies, in their supply chain and to the wider business community for the benefit of their residents. Come and join us for an informative and interactive session championing how Housing associations can help you deliver a great apprenticeship offer.

For others it may be the fact that we’ve won awards for being a great place to work and continually invest in our people. To be on the safe side, we’ll go over a few of the reasons why people join us and why Nando’s is a different place to work.
