Friday 27th April:

11:00 – National Careers Service – CV Writing – The basics of CV writing including different CV formats, covering letters and job applications.

11:30 Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts – Apprenticeships at Park Plaza in partnership with Umbrella Training – Do you know where an apprenticeship in hospitality can take you? Find out the progression and development opportunities Park Plaza Hotels can offer you.

12:00  National Careers Service – Interview Skills – Interview technique preparation using general strategies with examples of some interview questions.

12:30  London Ambulance Service – Consider a  career with London Ambulance Service – We employ over 5,000 people, and everyone has a role to play in keeping our service working for the benefit of our patients. From ‘back office’ to ‘frontline’ – wherever you work in our organisation there are opportunities for you to develop your skills and progress your career. 13:00 – Army – Army Careers Presentation – Introduction to the Army’s main career streams as well as Army Adventurous Training opportunities, Army Foundation College Harrogate, Welbeck Sixth Form College and Sandhurst Officer Cadets.

13:30  Love London Working – The Love London Working Offer – Find out how we can help you back into work or training, with our free 1:1 support service, no matter your personal circumstances.

14:00 National Careers Service – Using Social Media – A basic introduction to social media for your job search.

14:30  Serco – Nail that interview – So it’s a conversation right? You know what to wear and how to get there on time but what else can you do to nail that interview? This session will help you look beyond the job advert and figure out what questions you may be asked and importantly be ready with the right type of answer. We will talk about different interview styles and spend some time thinking about what that employer is really looking for and how your skills and experience fits their candidate profile. Don’t leave things to chance come along to this interactive session and let us help you nail that ideal job. See you there.

15:00  Hilton – Explore the World of a Hilton Apprentice – Interested to earn whilst you learn and gain a recognised qualification in hospitality? Get a valuable insight into our apprenticeship programme, and find out how you can become the next Hilton Apprentice.

15:30  Heathrow Airport – Landing your dream role – Our seminar will touch upon Heathrow and the diverse opportunities we have. As well as how to best prepare for key stages throughout the recruitment process, including creating an attractive CV, answering application questions, completing an SJT, telephone interview tips and assessment centre tips.
